Celebrating 40 Years of Service and Success

Keogh, Cox & Wilson, Ltd. was founded in 1969 by the late Judge Joseph Keogh. As we celebrate our 40th anniversary, we are proud of our history of service to the community and our strong record of achieving successful results for our clients — both in and out of the courtroom. We represent clients in all federal and state courts throughout Louisiana.

Full-Service Litigation Law Firm

Initially the firm focused on providing insurance companies with top-notch defense representation. Since then, we have grown into a full-service litigation firm with more than 20 attorneys. Our practice areas have expanded to include business law, commercial litigation, construction law, professional malpractice, employment and labor law and much more.

The Right Size to Meet Your Legal Needs

Our firm is large enough to have the legal and technical resources needed to handle large class actions and complex litigation. Yet we are small enough that you won't get lost in the shuffle. We provide each client with personalized attention at every step of the process — from the initial meeting to appellate proceedings.

Not an Ordinary Law Firm

We are not an ordinary law firm. Keogh, Cox & Wilson, Ltd. is an AV-rated* law firm that focuses on providing high-quality legal representation for people and businesses throughout Louisiana and nationally. We represent many start-up businesses as well as some of the state's and nation's largest corporate clients. Architects, engineers, nurses, doctors and other professionals turn to us for defense representation in malpractice suits, as well as for help with professional licenses and disciplinary matters.

Attorneys Who Make a Difference

Our lawyers are active in the local community, stay on the leading edge of litigation strategies and keep abreast of case law that affects our clients' circumstances. Our trial attorneys have earned national recognition for their work in complex litigation at both the state and federal level. They are also able to resolve disputes cost-effectively through mediation and arbitration.

Representative case - Keogh, Cox & Wilson obtains key ruling that will affect the practice of medicine nationwide. Louisiana Court of Appeal limits the scope of practice for Certified Register Nurse Anesthetists (CNRAs) and declares interventional pain management is solely the practice of medicine.

To schedule an opportunity to meet with us about a business license your legal needs, contact the attorneys of Keogh, Cox & Wilson, Ltd.
