John E. Cox graduated from law school and was admitted to practice in Louisiana in 1958. He has been practicing insurance defense law with Keogh, Cox & Wilson, Ltd., since 1981. John retired in 1981 from Allstate Insurance Company where he served as Counsel under its General Counsel in the home office located in Northbrook, Illinois. John also served in claim managerial positions throughout the Southeast for Allstate during his twenty-five years with the company.

While with Keogh, Cox & Wilson, Ltd., John Cox has worked principally in the practice of defense of insurance companies and excess carriers in all lines of insurance including general liability and products liability. John is legislative representative (and regulatory counsel) for Allstate Insurance Company in Louisiana.
