Tell Us About Your Case

Keogh, Cox & Wilson, Ltd. hires second and third year law students year around to assist in all matters related to the firm's active litigation practice.

Unlike many law firms, Keogh, Cox & Wilson clerks are not relegated to simply preparing research memoranda filtered through a law librarian or coordinator. Instead, clerks with Keogh, Cox & Wilson work directly with an assigning attorney on whatever tasks may be at hand. While solid research is the foundation of a litigation practice, our clerks are also actively involved in other substantive tasks. Through our open door policy, the clerks enjoy direct interaction with the attorneys, resulting in immediate feedback on their efforts. Through this process, our clerks gain an invaluable introduction into a litigation practice.

Additionally, our clerks are also invited to participate in our monthly attorney meetings, where we provide in-house training by our own experts, or presentations by local trial and appellate judges, physicians, litigation experts, and others. This year alone, guests have included a State District Court Judge, a local orthopedic surgeon, and a local championship baseball coach. Our clerks also participate in our other formal and informal social engagements, including our firm softball team, our Corporate Cup road racing team, our annual Mardi Gras parade party, our annual LSU tent party, our annual mid-summer law clerk pool party, as well as occasional informal lunches and after work gatherings.

Keogh, Cox & Wilson generally conducts on-campus interviews in the fall, and we invite all interested law students to apply through their career services center.
